SAN JOSE, CA -- Tam Communications and Hewlett-Packard Company have concluded production on an interactive software demo geared toward updating HP's customers, resellers and their field sales organization about the company's new and improved suite of manageability tools for HP NetServers. The San Jose-based communications media company produced a non-linear interactive CD-ROM geared for presentation at industry trade shows, and distribution to salespeople and resellers for use in meetings with customers.

Tam's Michele Bertolone headed up the production team, which included art director Sandra Silva, content artist dk Blanar, and integrator/programmer Karen Toensfeldt. The Tam creative staff was faced with a challenging set of objectives: to create an attention-getting visual look and structure that would easily communicate complex technological information, to incorporate an existing collateral design scheme into the presentation, and to design the presentation for potential translation into several languages.

The finished demo includes a 3-minute overview of HP's manageability tools, complete with animation, graphics, music, and voice-over narration. Users can also access more detailed information on specific NetServer manageability software tools, and review over a dozen detailed 'real-life' scenarios demonstrating how HP's NetServers deliver faster deployment, increased availability, and remote administration to customers.

The presentation made its debut at November's COMDEX show in Las Vegas, and since has been used at a variety of industry trade shows and customer presentations. Recently, the Tam project team completed translations of the presentation into French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese for use by HP sales representatives around the world.
