SAN JOSE, CA -- Tam Communications recently finished an eight-minute video for the Mexican Heritage Corporation about the Mexican Cultural Heritage Gardens and Plaza, currently being built in East San Jose. The program is being used for informational, educational, and fund-raising purposes and is directed to a wide audience, including members of the community, potential partners and sponsors, and funders. Recently premiered at the Smithsonian, the video has already been extremely well received.

The piece features b-roll of the construction of the facility and the surrounding neighborhood, as well as highlights of arts and educational programs that have been offered in the past by the MHC and its Resident Arts Partners. In addition, the video includes interviews with Pete Carrillo, President of MHC; Fernando Zazueta, Chairman of the Board of Directors for MHC; and Blanca Alvarado, Santa Clara County Supervisor.

The Gardens and Plaza, which will be completed mid-1999, will offer its theatre, classrooms, and other facilities to community members interested in Mexican arts and culture, and is part of the MHC's community revitalization efforts.

Susan O'Connor Fraser wrote the script for the piece, and Producer Timothy George served as director and offline editor. The video also included a 3-D logo, created by Tam's Aaron Dingman.
