Antigenics Illustrates Medical Process with Multimedia by Tam Communications

SAN JOSE, CA -- Visual communications company Tam Communications recently created a MacroMedia Director presentation for New York-based Antigenics, a biopharmaceutical company working to develop cures for cancer and other diseases and disorders. Designed to explain Antigenics' technology to potential investors, industry analysts and the press, the program was unveiled at the Hambrecht & Quist Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, and is now being used at health care conferences around the world.

Tam Communications developed the presentation with a broad audience in mind, accounting for wide differences in familiarity with human biology and the body's responses to disease. The largely graphical program employs art and animated sequences that present the complicated details of Antigenics' technology in a readily understandable way. Additionally, the program's text and charts were designed to be updated easily, keeping the presentation timely as more clinical data become available. Tam's dk blanar and Timothy O'Connor Fraser were responsible for art and integration, respectively.

Tam also integrated video clips into the presentation. Shot in Boston at Antigenics' processing lab, the clips show Antigenics technicians processing a tumor to create their most advanced product. The entire project was managed by Tam's senior producer, Siiri Tuckwood.
