SAN JOSE, CA -- Tam Communications and Discovery Communications announced additional air dates for Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers and Street Medics, Tam Communications' first two documentaries for the Discovery Channel. Each program will be broadcast three times in March.

Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers takes a close-up look at an elite branch of the United States Coast Guard, the Aviation Survivalmen or rescue swimmers, as they conduct real-life rescues while battling the forces of nature. Rescue swimmers put their lives on the line to save people in situations ranging from at-sea emergencies in 30-foot waves to hikers stranded on windy sea cliffs.

Street Medics is a one-hour documentary illustrating the lives of ambulance paramedics. Since they routinely face life and death situations, as well as many of the nation's worst social problems on our city streets, paramedics have a unique perspective. Through their interviews and their hands-on experience, their commitment to their work is revealed, as is its effect on their personal lives.

Both shows premiered on the Discovery Channel in the fall of 1998. Tam Fraser and Susan O'Connor Fraser served as executive producers, and are currently producing five more documentaries for Discovery Communications.
