Tam Communications Signs On for Three More Documentaries for the Discovery Channel

SAN JOSE, CA -- Three more one-hour specials created by Tam Communications will air on the Discovery Channel in 1999. Tam recently signed with the Discovery Channel to produce Coast Guard: Helicopters to the Rescue, Coast Guard: Survivors, and Coast Guard: Dangerous Rescues. Once the programs are completed, Tam will have produced seven documentaries for the Discovery Channel, all airing in 1998 and 1999.

Helicopters to the Rescue covers several exciting helicopter rescues, and includes the tragic story of a rescue attempt that proved fatal to a Coast Guard crew out of Air Station Humboldt Bay. The true stories of Survivors are told by the survivors themselves as they relive the nightmarish scenarios that brought the Coast Guard to their aid. Dangerous Rescues focuses on those especially hazardous cases in which the situation and the rescue are life-threatening, and the rescuers find themselves in as much danger as the victims they are trying to save. The programs will premiere in July and August of 1999.

All three Coast Guard documentaries will feature original music by Pat Mosca of Clayton-based Mosca Music. Director Tam Fraser and Writer Susan O'Connor Fraser will serve as executive producers.
