SAN JOSE, CA -- Visual communications company Tam Communications recently completed a 15-minute historical video for Good Samaritan Hospital. The West Santa Clara Valley hospital, which opened in 1965, will be commemorating its 35th anniversary in September of 2000, and will use the program as part of its anniversary celebration. As part of its community involvement activities, Tam made an in-kind contribution of services to help make the video possible.
The video focuses on the history of the hospital, beginning in 1960 when planning began, and covering the hospital's impressive 35 years of service to the community. The video uses new footage of the facilities, historical photos, and interviews with current and retired physicians, auxiliary members, and others associated with the institution to tell the Good Samaritan story. Shot over a blue screen, the interviews were later superimposed over a variety of backgrounds depicting hospital activities and facilities.
Tam producer Jeff Cowan was responsible for writing and managing the project; the video was directed and edited by Tam Fraser and John Barrett, respectively.
