SAN JOSE, CA -- Tam Communications announced today that it completed contractual negotiations with Los Angeles-based ZIA Film Distribution for worldwide representation of two non-fiction specials, Preemies: The Fight for Life and High Seas Cops. ZIA will be premiering the programs at MIPCOM, an international convention for television buyers held in Cannes this October.

Preemies: The Fight for Life was shot on location at the top three neonatal facilities in Northern California, and follows two families through the difficult choices and emotional struggles related to premature births. The program also explores the dramatic scientific breakthroughs that have enabled doctors to save more premature babies than ever before.

High Seas Cops follows the law enforcement activities of the United States Coast Guard, and spotlights several high-profile cases, including massive drug seizures and illegal migrant interdictions. The show also explores the Coast Guard’s intense law enforcement training, and features the Law Enforcement Detachment Teams, or LEDETs, members of an elite branch of the Coast Guard.

"Based upon our experience in the international market place, we believe there is a growing demand for reality-based documentaries," continued Heller. "The Preemies program covers a subject that is universal in nature, and to date there has been very little programming produced on premature babies.
