SAN JOSE, CA -- Utilizing its expertise in innovative web design, Tam Communications recently developed and launched the web site for newly introduced product My.PlaceWare. This free web conferencing product, created by Mountain View-based PlaceWare, Inc., can only be accessed using the Tam-produced site (my.placeware.com), which allows users to host and attend live, interactive meetings on the Web. Additionally, Tam created a tour of My.PlaceWare--also available on the web site--to explain the capabilities of the technology and familiarize users with the web conferencing process.

Because My.PlaceWare is intended for groups of five or less, Tam's art director Sandra Silva selected a personal, colorful look and feel for the web site interface. Silva and Producer Siiri Tuckwood worked with PlaceWare's engineering and marketing departments to develop a site consistent with both the functionality of the product and its high-level marketing messages. "The My.PlaceWare product was designed to be readily understandable and easy to use," explained Tuckwood. "As the web site is the entry point for the product, it was imperative that we develop an interface that was equally clear and intuitive."
