Tam Communications' technical and creative expertise was on display at the recent SEMICON West 2000, where two major semiconductor equipment manufacturers used Tam-produced presentations to impress the influential industry audience. The presentations, shown during the San Francisco portion of the July flagship SEMICON show, allowed Applied Materials and Ebara Technologies to relate complicated technical information and ideas in a clear, visual way to buyers and sellers of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

The two companies needed to familiarize potential customers with their products and companies in a visually engaging manner, without sacrificing depth or substance of information. Digital media company Tam Communications created solutions for each company that cut through the commotion of the convention floor to broadcast their main messages.

For Applied Materials' already high profile exhibit, Tam produced an interactive corporate overview presentation which tested the limits of DVD technology to reinforce Applied Material's image as the leading player in the semiconductor equipment industry. The information-rich program, which played on four kiosks strategically placed around the booth, used a complex blend of video, motion graphics, music and animated text graphics to keep viewers engaged.

Ebara pulled convention-goers into their booth by playing the first portion of a Tam-produced corporate and product overview CD-ROM on a 50 inch plasma screen in front of their display. The presentation in its entirety played on kiosks inside the booth.

Both of the presentations will continue to attract attention for the semiconductor equipment companies in the future, as they will be displayed at other trade shows around the world, and will also be used by the companies' sales teams.
