Tam redesigned Alpine Microsystems' web site. The Flash introduction to the new site (www.alpinemicro.com) immediately lets the visitor know that Alpine Microsystems is different from other companies in the integrated circuits space.

The provocative look of the site is unusual and intended to pique the interest of visitors and encourage them to learn more about the company. Once inside the site, visitors can access a wide variety of information, including articles written about Alpine's revolutionary technology.

Tam Communications also produced a television commercial for Alpine to build name recognition and to drive people to the redesigned web site. This TV spot is currently airing during San Jose Sharks hockey games.

The commercial intercuts images of powerful avalanches with simple white on black text. Adding to the power of the spot are the music (an adaptation of Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem) and sound effects produced by Pat Mosca. The idea, again, was to stand out from other advertising and to stand up to the excitement of a Sharks game. This piece is also being streamed from the Alpine web site.
