SAN JOSE, CA - Adobe Systems has a stunning new CD-ROM, celebrating its broad community involvement, thanks to Tam Communications, the San Jose-based visual communications company. The project is Adobe's Community Relations 2000 Annual Report and details the company's commitment to supporting schools, non-profit groups, and other deserving organizations.

The CD features the personal narratives of several individuals representing organizations that have benefited from Adobe's donations of cash, product and other in-kind support. The moving individual accounts are complemented by evocative photography, taken in Seattle and San Jose by Writer/Producer Wil Carson.

Lesley Dierks, Adobe's Community Relations Programs Manager, was thrilled with the results: "Producing the Community Relations Annual Report in CD-ROM format allowed us to bring Adobe's Community Relations programs to life and showcase Adobe's technology. It was a worthwhile effort made possible by Tam's creative vision and skill with our products."

A unique requirement of the project was that it was produced using only Adobe products. Tam's Graphics and Interactive Group experimented with Adobe's new LiveMotion™ authoring tool to maximize the CD's visual impact. The team, led by Art Director Mike Baxter, also used other Adobe products, such as the Adobe Photoshop® and Illustrator® products, to give the CD its rich visual look and feel.

Producer Carson collaborated with Tam's team of graphics artists and integrators to complete the CD and deliver 5,000 copies of the finished piece. The material is also being digitally dispersed on the Web at www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/philanthropy/main.html.
