Scotts Valley, CA - It had been a long time since the San Jose Office of Economic Development had developed their initial web site which meant their web presence was in desperate need of a face lift. Tam Communications was tapped for the job. The new site had to reflect the vibrancy and leading edge technology of the Capital of Silicon Valley and yet, at the same time, be designed so that it can be turned over OED staff for on-going maintenance once it was complete.

The project was headed up by Tam's Executive Producer Susan O'Connor Fraser and Chief Technologist, Timothy O'Connor Fraser. Susan and her project management team worked with the agency to define the new site structure. Mike Baxter was the art director for the site, building off the look and feel of the agency's new marketing campaign. It was also critical that the site adhere to the City of San Jose's strict standards including ADA guidelines.

Tam's responsibility began by defining the site's architecture. Once his look and feel was approved, Baxter created all of the sub-pages and drop-down menus. Tim O'Connor Fraser then went about integrating the pages and building the necessary databases. Susan O'Connor Fraser reviewed all incoming copy and edited as necessary.

After four months of development, the site (www.sjeconomy.com) was launched.
