Scotts Valley, CA – What do Yoga and Golf have to do with one another? If you’re a corporate event planner, perhaps everything. Tam Communications is helping YoGolf make sure you understand the connection. A 10-minute promotional video, produced by Tam’s Executive Producer Susan O’Connor Fraser and directed and edited by Tam O’Connor Fraser, outlines how this combination can result in a truly unique corporate event experience.

The Danville-based YoGolf LLC offers workshops that include a presentation on the benefits of incorporating yoga into your golf game preparation, an hour and a half-long yoga session focusing on the areas of the body a golfer needs to feel flexible and strong, followed by a round of golf. "It doesn't matter if you've never been to a yoga class or have been practicing for years. Everyone can benefit from the experience,"; comments YoGolf Principal, Constance Smith. "The two most powerful weapons in the golfer's arsenal are his body and breath. We have developed a way for the golfer to tap into these areas and the results are astounding. Not only will you lower your score, but you are less likely to receive injuries and more likely to enjoy playing the game. While the YoGolf team engaged participants, capturing the experience on tape was Tam’s job. A full day of production at the Wente Vineyards Golf Course in Livermore included taping a workshop and interviewing workshop participants and pro golfer, Dana Jetter. “It was amazing what people had to say about the experience and about yoga in general--the profound feeling of how it could benefit not just their golf game but their job...even their life,” notes Tam’s Susan O’Connor Fraser.

The production team followed the workshop participants from the presentation to their yoga mats to the course. After production, Tam edited the 10-minute program including integrating an animated logo treatment created by Art Director, Mike Baxter. They then authored DVDs and CD-ROMs. The YoGolf sales team is using the video to show corporate event planners what this unique experience is all about.
