Scotts Valley, CA - Knowing how the power of video could support their long-term company potential, San Jose-based Altera Corporation turned to long-time partner Tam Communications to deliver. Tam’s relationship with Altera dates back over ten years. The goal: to capture high-profile customer testimonials to be embedded into executive presentations targeted for financial analysts.

Tam’s Executive Producer and Creative Director, Susan O’Connor Fraser, managed the project working with Tam’s Associate Producer, Maria Dilisio. Tam coordinated production of customer interviews throughout the U. S., and in France and Japan. Tapping international and local crews for production outside of the Bay Area, and doing their own taping for all work done in Northern California, the result was a total of nine extremely powerful testimonials.

As each testimonial was shot, the tapes were sent in and transcribed locally, and then the Altera Project Manager and Investor Relations team selected the desired quotes to be edited into the mini-success stories, supporting specific messages to be communicated at the podium. In addition to the eight success stories, two other videos were created by Tam—one favorably comparing Altera technology (Programmable Logic) to Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) and another reinforcing how Altera partners with its customers. These two videos were given a little extra visual excitement through AfterEffects-based opens designed by Artist Mike Baxter. Tam Fraser edited all of the videos.
