Scotts Valley, CA - San Jose-based Foundry Networks’ sales team has a new tool in their sales tool kit. A multimedia CD has just been completed that features customer testimonial videos from several Foundry customers has just emerged from mass replication. But the videos are only the start of what’s included on this robust new tool. Data sheets in several languages, a product map, printed testimonials (as pdfs), application notes and white papers are also included.

Executive Producer/Creative Director, Susan O’Connor Fraser, chose flash as the application to integrate the disparate media. O’Connor Fraser notes, “Flash is the most ubiquitous multimedia player which means we don’t have to rely on a user having Quick Time or Windows Media to play the video elements.”

O’Connor Fraser, who was also the project’s producer, tapped artist Mike Baxter to create the interface for the tool and Jason Guerra as Flash integrator/programmer. As art and integration was underway, Tam Fraser was putting finishing touches on customer testimonial videos, written and produced by O’Connor Fraser. These testimonials, shot by the Tam team months earlier, included success stories featuring ILM, Ste. Foy College, USC, Louis Dreyfus, Kingdon Capital, and the University of Utah Health Center. Combining provided stock footage and stills, Tam’s own library footage, newly shot b-roll video, and graphics, Tam crafted endorsements of Foundry technology. These endorsements will be used by to support sales efforts in a specific market segment.

In addition to the use as a sales tool, the CD is also available by request from the Foundry web site and is being given away at trade shows. The plan is to update the CD as materials change, quarterly or semi-annually, allowing Foundry to distribute marketing materials in an extremely cost-effective basis. The testimonials are also being streamed from Foundry’s web site.
