Scotts Valley, CA - Tam Communications has been working with LogicVision for over seven years so it was logical for the Scotts-Valley-based media company to be selected to help them launch their new marketing campaign. “EYES in the Die” was set to be rolled out by LogicVision CEO Jim Healy at the DATE Conference in France. A few short weeks before the conference, LogicVision tasked Tam Communications to create the story behind the EYES concept and then prepare the presentation for Healy to present to DATE attendees in his discussion about the future of System-on-Chip (SoC) testing. LogicVision’s technology embeds intelligence inside integrated circuits that are then used throughout the ICs lifecycle...providing engineers with visibility into its performance.

After interviewing LogicVision executives, O’Connor Fraser wrote the presentation and then proceeded forward with the visualization and graphics created by the graphics team at Salt ‘n Paper. The graphics and video elements, explaining the technology and the pressures driving customers to LogicVision solutions, were then integrated into Powerpoint for Mr. Healy’s presentation. Meanwhile, Independent Art Director Mike Baxter developed the main EYES graphic, combining human eyes with images of integrated circuits. The graphic would be used throughout LogicVision’s print and electronic marketing materials.

Following the DATE Conference and with the EYES graphic approved, the next step was to launch the “EYES in the Die” concept to the world via the LogicVision web site (www.logicvision.com). The Tam team of flash programmer Jason Guerra, web integrator Lisa Adams, and artists Mike Baxter and Aaron Dingman worked under the direction of O’Connor Fraser to develop the necessary elements. Salt ‘n Paper then added their expertise to creation of animated gifs for web advertising, print ads, posters, and post cards.
