Scotts Valley, CA - New and returning employees, starting off the new season with Butler Amusements will find more than a new shirt and updated policies are awaiting them on their first day of work. Each employee will also view a new employee orientation video developed by Tam Communications. Butler, the largest carnival operator in the Western U. S., decided that video was a great way to get all employees familiar with the general rules and regulations of the company as well as safety policies.

The 30-minute video features all of the members of the Butler executive team. In addition to general information, the video also covers job-specific topics such as the policies and procedures that affect game and concession agents, ride operators, truck drivers, and ticket sellers. Live action video of each of these positions accompanies the video, supported as necessary with graphics. Susan O’Connor Fraser wrote and produced the program, working with Tam Fraser who shot and edited the video.

Once the English version of the program was in the can, a Spanish-subtitled version was created. Both programs were then put to DVD so that they can be played during employee meetings.
