SCOTTS VALLEY, CA--With NASA Astronaut Mike Mullane as guest speaker and the tagline "Advancing at the Speed of Light", a space theme was a natural choice for the opening video for the Lumenis National Sales Meeting. In tapping Tam Communications to produce the video, Santa Clara-based Lumenis set their expectations for a high-energy, entertaining and inspirational piece that would set the tone for the three-day event. Tam Communications Creative Director/Executive Producer, Susan O'Connor Fraser, developed the concept and then worked with the corporate communications team at Lumenis to create the messaging for the 3-minute opener.

Associate Producer, Regan Eymann, and Digital Medial Specialist, David Trounstine, then went to work to gather and assemble material from NASA and Tam's own library of images and stock footage. Richard Gephardt recorded the narration at Wave Group Sound and then the media was turned over to Tam Fraser to work his magic in the editing suite.

Constant movement was, in order. Still photos came alive. Animations, developed by AfterEffects Artist, Mike Baxter, were integrated. Text moved across the screen, effecting on and off. Video compared the pioneers of space travel and the Lumenis sales team. The ingredients for success--people, vision, strategy, technology and products--were spelled out. The end-result--the tone was set for an extremely successful meeting and the start of a year of promise for Lumenis.
