SCOTTS VALLEY, CA--A one-minute video premiers next week at Semicon Taiwan as part of KLA-Tencor's marketing push for its Puma product. The San Jose semiconductor yield management company chose Tam to develop the piece to illustrate the superior speed and sensitivity of the inspection solution. Susan O'Connor Fraser was the Executive Producer and Creative Director, designing a presentation that could run without narrative and resembled a television commercial.

Susan tapped Aaron Dingman to create a 3D animation sequence which would depict the difference between conventional technology and KLA-Tencor's Puma approach. Tam's Digital Media Producer, David Trounstine, then developed a series of animated charts to visualize the benefits of this difference to the customer. The charts were designed to result in a fluid sequence from the opening image to the final sequence. In the midst of the presentation is stunning stock footage of a Puma running direcctly to the camera through a field of virgin snow. Editing of the program and culmination of the vision was the responsibility of Tam's Director/Editor, Tam O'Connor Fraser, working on the company's new Avid Adrenaline system.

Because the program debuted in Taiwan, both an English and Traditional Chinese versions were needed. International Contact of Oakland provided the translated text.
