Lifeguard Rescues is the latest Tam Communications co-production venture with Discovery Communications. The three one-hour episodes are set in the laid-back beach town of Santa Cruz, California. The series follows the Santa Cruz City Beach lifeguards who patrol the ocean, the beach, and the adjacent Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in their efforts to protect the public from a wide assortment of dangers.
The intense action includes rip current and river rescues, a harbor drowning, and an assortment of medical cases ranging from a heart attack, to a seizure, to cervical injuries. Lifeguard Rescues which premiered on Discovery Health in May of 2002 provides an unforgettable look into the lives of these unsung heroes.
